Several persons from among the participants of the rally in support of resignation of Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), Artem Sytnyk, rushed into the office of the agency in Kyiv on Tuesday afternoon.

As reported by Censor.NET, NABU employees told Interfax-Ukraine news agency that people wearing T-shirts with symbols of "some NGO" entered the lobby of the agency’s office in attempt to cause unrest. They subsequently left the lobby. The mentioned individuals put forward no demands.

The police said that the rally outside the building of the NABU was still underway. The rally participants painted over the signs at the entrance to the agency.

"No one has been detained," the police said adding that they received no reports that someone had rushed into the NABU office.

However, a source in the NABU told Ukrainska Pravda that unknown persons broke into the agency’s office and created unrest. "So-called ‘Donbas war veteran’ Vania Hrabar accompanied by a group of the so-called ‘protesters’ came here in the morning. They broke in, scattered the furniture while the police were just watching and doing nothing. They were taken out only when they started crushing everything inside," the source said.

According to the source, the detractors broke into the lobby through the door of the public reception office which is usually closed. "They broke it open and came in. There is a metal roll-up door separating the hall from the rest of the office. It was closed so they failed to get inside the office," the news agency quoted the source as saying.
