As reported by Censor.NET citing Interfax-Ukraine, the American leader said at a press conference in Brussels as part of the NATO summit on Thursday that he would meet with President Putin on Monday and talk about Syria and meddling in elections. Trump said that the Ukrainian issue would also be on the table.
"We will talk about Ukraine. Ukraine, by the way, is present here today [at the NATO Summit in Brussels]," an Ukrinform correspondent quotes the U.S. president as saying.
Asked about the occupation of Crimea by Russia, Trump once again stressed that it was former U.S. president Barack Obama who let this happen. "I would not have let that happen," Trump said.
As reported, Putin and Trump are going to meet in Helsinki, Finland, on July 16.
