The checkpoint near Smile village in the area of Bakhmutivka in the Luhansk region was released Friday being previously blocked by the militants. 11 our soldiers went missing.

Head of the ATO press center Vladyslav Selezniov said this, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainska Pravda.

"The soldiers of the Special Forces battalion from Vinnytsia, who moved towards the National Guard's checkpoint near Smile, were ambushed Thursday. 11 military have gone missing. Their armored personnel carrier and infantry fighting vehicle were destroyed," Selezniov said.

"However, four men returned to the place of their deployment as of Friday. We are looking forward for the rest," he said

"But right now the checkpoint is released, there is communication with it. Ammunition and food were brought to this checkpoint," he stressed.

Selezniov explained that separate subversive groups are acting in the area of the roadblock shelling our positions from time to time "using mobile mortars".

"No shelling was registered in that area Friday morning," Selezniov added.
