As reported by the parliamentary correspondent for Censor.NET, 254 lawmakers supported the relevant bill No. 7010.
According to the explanatory note, the adoption of the law will help reduce the time for customs clearance of goods imported into Ukraine and improve the investment attractiveness of the country for commodity producers.
In addition, the document is included in a package of 35 draft laws, defined as necessary to improve the business climate and economic growth in the country. The bill provides for filing soft copies of papers necessary for customs clearance of goods by electronic means.
"This applies to all supervisory bodies that check the goods entering the custom-enforcement area such as phytosanitary, veterinary, ecology, radiology and other agencies. If they issued a document, they should enter its soft copy into the appropriate information system, which is run by the inland revenue authorities," MP Tatiana Ostrikova said during the bill discussion.
