As reported by Censor.NET citing the latest update by the JFO headquarters press center as of June 25, the Russian occupation forces used weapons prohibited by the Minsk accords in four of 24 attacks on the Ukrainian troops.
"The JFO units maintained active defense and responded adequately to the enemy attacks," the statement reads.
It is noted that intense fighting was underway in the vicinity of Krymske at Luhansk section of the frontline as the enemy employed 120-mm mortars, grenade launchers and small arms against the Ukrainian troops deployed near this village. Hostilities were also recorded on the outskirts of Luhanske and Zolote villages.
In Donetsk direction, the enemy fired upon defenders of Avdiivka and Kruta Balka with 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers, and small arms. Ukrainian military deployed near Marinka, Kamianka and Verkhniotoretske also came under enemy fire.
At Mariupol section of the contact line, the Russian mercenaries employed grenade launchers of various types, large-caliber machine guns and small arms against the Ukrainian forces in the vicinity of Lebedynske, Hnutove, Shyrokyne, Pavlopil and Starohnativka.
"A Ukrainian soldier was wounded in action over the past 24-hour period. Intelligence sources preliminary estimated that two members of the Russian occupation forces were eliminated and another three were wounded," the casualty report says.
The JFO HQ also said that the Russian militants have fired upon the Ukrainian defenders twice since midnight today: "The enemy attacked positions near Zolote in Luhansk direction using grenade launchers of various types, large-caliber machine guns and small arms while the servicemen deployed near Lebedynske village in Mariupol section of the forefront came under RPGs and small arms fire."
