 Bill on of High Anti-Corruption Court creation approved by Ukraine's parliament

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the law on the establishment of the High Anti-Corruption Court.

As reported by Censor.NET citing Ukrinform, a total of 265 lawmakers supported the draft law No. 8467 as a whole, with at least 226 votes required to make a decision.

According to an explanatory note to the document, the draft law was developed to implement the requirements of the Constitution, as well as the laws on Hight Anti-Corruption Court and the judicial system and status of judges to launch the activities of the High Anti-Corruption Court.

The Verkhovna Rada also ordered the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Judicial Administration to take measures necessary for the establishment of the High Anti-Corruption Court and the implementation of the law.

The law comes into force on the day following the day of its publication.
