The situation in the Joint forces operation (JFO) remained tense over the past 24 hours as heavy clashes took place along the entire length of the contact line with Russian mercenaries actively using banned heavy weaponry.

Censor.NET report citing the latest update by the JFO headquarters press center as of 7 a.m. on June 14, 2018.

"The Russian-occupation forces violated cease-fire 33 times over the past day, June 13, of which 11 attacks were committed with 122-mm artillery, 120- and 82-mm mortars. The JFO troops maintained active defense and responded adequately to the enemy attacks," the report said.

"In the Luhansk region, the enemy unsuccessfully tried to force our units out of dominating positions near the villages of Novotoshkivske, Novooleksandrivka and Novozvanivka. In Horlivka direction, intense attacks mainly with small arms were committed on the outskirts of Hladosove and Zaitseve. The enemy mortar-shelled Avdiivka at the Donetsk section of the forefront. In Mariupol direction, active combat operations were underway near Talakivka and Vodiane," the report reads.

"Four our soldiers were injured in action. Those wounded were promptly taken to hospitals. Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening," the press center said.

Intelligence sources indicate one Russian-backed terrorist killed and five others wounded in response fire.
