No one killed, three Ukrainian soldiers injured as Russian proxies committed 27 attacks in Donbas over past day, - JFO center

Combined Russian-separatist troops breached truce 27 times in the Joint forces operation (JFO) zone over the past 24-hour period. Heavy weapons banned by the Minsk accords were used in 11 of yesterday’s cease-fire violations.

Censor.NET reports citing the latest update by the JFO headquarters press service as of June 12.

"The JFO units resolutely suppressed the enemy attacks involving artillery, mortars, armament of infantry fighting vehicles, and small arms preventing the invaders from gaining tactical superiority," the statement reads.

The agency also noted that the enemy kept trying to weaken the Ukrainian troops’ defenses in the vicinity of Novotoshkivske village in Luhansk direction. At Horlivka section of the forefront, the JFO units maintained active defense on the outskirts of Troitske and Svitlodarsk; in Donetsk direction - near Avdiivka and Pisky. The situation also remained tense near Lomakyne, Vodiane, and Shyrokyne villages in Mariupol direction.

"Three our servicemen were injured in action yesterday. No casualties were reported in our troops as of 7 a.m. today," the report says.

Intelligence sources indicate two invaders eliminated and three wounded in retaliation fire.
