"It has been exactly one year since Ukraine started enjoying the visa-free regime with the EU countries. Something that millions of Ukrainians have dreamt of came true," President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko wrote on social media, Censor.NET reports.
"I am confident that Ukraine’s nurtured future will be built by our joint efforts so that the Ukrainian people and the Ukrainian state will be able to come back to the family of European nations as soon as possible," he said.
As reported, the EU-Ukraine visa-free regime was introduced on June 11, 2017. The system of biometric data monitoring started operating in Ukraine on Jan. 1, 2018. Citizens of 70 countries undergo the procedure.
