The intensity of hostilities along the entire length of the contact line in the Joint forces operation (JFO) zone increased over the past day.

As reported by Censor.NET citing the latest update by the JFO headquarters press service as of June 7, combined Russian-separatist forces committed 10 strikes with 120- and 82-mm mortars and two – with 122-mm guns banned by the Minsk agreements. A total of 37 cease-fire violations by the enemy were recorded over the past 24-hour period.

"In Luhansk direction, active hostilities were underway near Krymske and Novotoshkivske villages where the enemy committed four attacks with mortars and a tank yesterday. Fighting also continued on the outskirts of Zaitseve village at Horlivka section of the forefront and near Kamianka village in Donetsk direction. The situation somewhat deteriorated on the outskirts of Vodiane and Lebedynske villages at Mariupol section of the frontline where the enemy fired at least 85 artillery and mortar shells during the day. The JFO units responded adequately to the enemy attacks and maintained their strongholds preventing the enemy from advancing towards our lines and suppressing its firing points," the report says.

The agency recalled that the enemy committed a terrorist attack on the Russian-occupied village of Holubivske in the Luhansk region yesterday morning in violation of the norms of the International Humanitarian Law: "The counterbattery radar and other reliable means recorded that the terrorists shelled a minivan with civilians with 82-mm mortar deployed on the northern outskirts of Donetskyi village.
