The situation in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) zone remained tense over the past day despite decrease in the intensity of the enemy attacks along the contact line.

Censor.NET reports citing the update by the JFO headquarters press center as of May 14.

"The Russian-occupation forces breached truce 42 times including 11 strikes with mortars banned by the Minsk agreements. Our troops maintained active defense and responded adequately to the enemy attacks," the statement reads.

The enemy also reportedly opened harassing fire on the outskirts of Troitske, Novozvanivka, and Zolote villages in the Luhansk region trying to invite retaliation of the Ukrainian troops.

At Donetsk section of the forefront, active hostilities were recorded in the vicinity of Zalizne and Novhorodske villages and Butivka mine: "The Russian-occupation troops’ efforts were in vain. The defensive lines of the Ukrainian units remained unchanged."

"No JFO soldier was killed or injured over the past 24 hours. Intelligence sources indicate that one terrorist was killed and three were injured in action," the situation report says.

Intending to invite retaliatory fire, the invaders have already attacked the Ukrainian forces with small arms seven times on May 15.
