The situation in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) zone was tense over the past day as the Russian-occupation troops continued flagrantly violating the Minsk accords.

Censor.NET reports citing the update by the JFO headquarters press service as of May 7, 2018.

The agency says hostilities were recorded all along the demarcation line. The enemy used banned weapons 15 times: "The Joint Forces’ detachments maintained active defense on the outskirts of Krymske, Popasna, Novotoshkivske, Luhanske, Avdiivka, and Shyrokyne villages countering the enemy fire and preventing the advance of the occupation forces to the government-controlled territory."

Combined Russian-separatist forces reportedly continue bombarding Zaitseve village with 122-mm artillery: "Roughly violating the norms of the International Humanitarian Law, the militants destroy houses of civilians with artillery shelling. 27 projectiles hit Zaitseve over the past 24 hours alone."

JFO headquarters reports two servicemen injured in action yesterday. The military received professional medical care on the ground and were taken to a hospital.

Ukrainian scouts report one terrorist killed and five more injured.

Earlier, the invaders committed 80 attacks on Ukrainian military personnel on May 6 using artillery, mortars and armament of tanks.
