"In Donetsk direction, the Ukrainian forces deployed in the vicinity of Lomakyne village were bombarded with 122-mm cannons and 120-mm mortars banned by the Minsk accords as well as with 82-mm mortars and grenade launchers. The invaders also shelled defenders of Vodiane, Novotroitske, Hnutove, and Pyshchevyk with 120-mm mortars and committed strikes with 82-mm mortars on the outskirts of Shyrokyne and Vodiane. The militants blanketed the ATO forces’ defenses near Lebedynske, Talakivka, Avdiivka, Hnutove, Marinka and Pyshchevyk with grenade launchers, used large-caliber machine guns near Pavlopil, Pervomaiske, Krasnohorivka, and Butivka mine. Ukrainian troops deployed near Vodiane, Pyshchevyk, and Hnutove were attacked with armament of infantry fighting vehicles. Defenders of Kamianka, Novomykhailivka, Avdiivka, Talakivka, Marinka and Vodiane came under small arms fire. Moreover, the enemy snipers assaulted defenders of Talakivka, Pavlopil and Shyrokyne.
"At Luhansk section of the frontline, the invaders bombarded Ukrainian troops in Luhanske village with banned 122-mm artillery and repeatedly employed 120- and 82-mm mortars, grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns against them. The militants also shelled the defenders of Novoluhanske and Troitske with 120- and 82-mm mortars.
"Ukrainian servicemen defending Novoselivka were also shelled with 82-mm mortars. The enemy committed attacks near Krymske and Troitske using armament of infantry fighting vehicles; bombarded positions near Valuiske with grenade launchers; fired upon Ukrainian troops in the vicinity of Stanytsia Luhanska, Krymske, and Novoselivka with large-caliber machine guns. Sniper attacks were recorded not far from Novhorodske.
"Nine Ukrainian soldiers were injured in action and two more received combat traumas over the past 24-hour period. The injured servicemen were taken to hospitals where they received all the necessary medical care," the situation report reads.
Earlier, Russian mercenaries committed 44 attacks on Ukrainian military personnel on April 23.
