"At Donetsk section of the forefront, the invaders bombarded defenders of Pisky and Vodiane villages with 120-mm mortars banned by the Minsk agreements. Russian terrorists shelled positions near Butivka mine, Talakivka, and Vodiane with 82-mm mortars; employed armament of infantry fighting vehicles against the ATO forces’ defenses in the vicinity of Talakivka and Vodiane villages; and committed attacks with anti-aircraft guns near Opytne village and Butivka mine. Moreover, the Ukrainian troops’ positions on the outskirts of Avdiivka, Butivka mine, Marinka, Opytne, Vodiane, Pisky, Pavlopil, Kamianka, Lebedynske, Krasnohorivka, Shyrokyne, and Hnutove were fired upon with grenade launchers, large-caliber machine guns and small arms. Sniper attacks were recorded near Pisky, Pavlopil, and Avdiivka.
"In Luhansk direction, the militants bombarded the ATO forces deployed near Troitske with 120- mm mortars banned by the Minsk cease-fire deal and less powerful 82-mm mortars as well as armament of the infantry fighting vehicles and anti-aircraft guns. The enemy shelled defenders of Krymske village with 82-mm mortars; committed attacks near Luhanske using armament of infantry fighting vehicles and anti-aircraft guns; fired upon the defenders of Zalizne and Zaitseve villages with grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns. Defenders of Novozvanivka and Svitlodarsk came under grenade launcher strikes.
"One Ukrainian soldier sadly was killed and another one was injured in action over the past 24-hour period. The injured soldier was taken to a hospital where he received necessary medical assistance," the situation report reads.
Earlier, Russian terrorists committed 38 attacks on Ukrainian military personnel on April 11.
