No one killed, three Ukrainian soldiers injured in 35 attacks over past day, - ATO HQ

Combined Russian and terrorist forces committed 35 attacks on Ukrainian military personnel over the past 24 hours using weapons banned by the Minsk deal.

Censor.NET reports citing the latest update by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) headquarters press center as of April 9, 2018.

"In Donetsk direction, the militants bombarded Ukrainian troops’ positions in the vicinity of Shyrokyne and Lebedynske with banned 122 mm cannons and shelled the outskirts of Vodiane with 120-mm mortars twice. The invaders also fired upon the defenders of Lebedynske with 82-mm mortars, large-caliber machine guns, and small arms as well as employed grenade launchers of various systems against defenders of Shyrokyne Talakivka, Kamianka, Opytne, Marinka, Vodiane, and Avdiivka. Moreover, the militants fired upon the ATO forces deployed near Pyshchevyk and Kamianka villages with large-caliber machine guns. Positions on the outskirts of Vodiane were attacked with the armament of infantry fighting vehicles. The enemy snipers committed attacks in the vicinity of Pisky. Defenders of Hnutove, Pervomaiske, Nevelske, Pisky, Pavlopil and Butivka mine came under small arms fire.

"In Luhansk section of the frontline, grenade launchers and large-caliber machine guns were employed against the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defenses near Luhanske village. Ukrainian positions near Svitlodarsk and Katerynivka came under grenade launcher strikes.

"Three Ukrainian soldiers were injured in action. They were taken to hospitals and provided with necessary medical assistance," the situation report reads.

Earlier, the Russian mercenaries committed 35 attacks on the ATO troops on Easter, April 8, in which five Ukrainian soldiers were injured.
