The information was confirmed by MP Mykola Kniazhytskyi on his Facebook page.
"Yehor Vorobiov has been released from captivity. I spoke to him on the phone. He is coming to Kyiv. Everything will be fine," the deputy wrote.
On September 1, journalist Vorobiov was captured while working near Ilovaisk.
Last month, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko took the matter of his release under personal control after his wife, a reporter of channel 112 Ukraine Yelena Solodovnikova appealed to the Head of State during his press conference. She stated that her husband was captured covering the events at Ilovaisk and he was not placed on the list for the exchange of prisoners.
