As reported by a correspondent for Censor.NET, Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Hroisman said at a Cabinet meeting March 28.
"Following long negotiations today, the government mill make a corresponding statement on commitment to sign a free trade area agreement between Ukraine and Israel," he said.
Hroisman wrote on social media that Ukraine exported goods worth $781,200,000 to Israel in 2017 showing 19.1 percent growth in exports.
"We exported 245 new products to Israel last year with the largest increase in agricultural products and steel exports. The free trade agreement with Israel will help boost Ukraine’s exports which will contribute to the investment in Ukraine’s producers and this, in turn, will create new jobs in our country," the PM wrote.
He thanked President Petro Poroshenko, Deputy Prime Minister Stepan Kubiv, Ukraine's trade representative Natalia Mykolska, and the team of negotiators for the efforts they made to reach the final stage before signing the agreement on FTA.
