“Russia’s stink is all over it. I guess this wasn’t the last attempt to destabilize situation,” - Klimkin on attacks on Hungarians Union office

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin believes that Russia is behind speculations about "anti-Hungarian sentiment" allegedly prevailing among Ukrainians.

"I am grateful to the police for their vigorous efforts in the Zakarpattia [region]. The Russian stink is all over it. "Hello" to everyone who speculated on mythic anti-Hungarian sentiment. I guess this wasn’t the last attempt to destabilize [the situation]," Klimkin twittedCensor.NET reports.

As reported, two attacks were committed against Uzhhorod-based Hungarian Cultural Association office in February: an arson attack on Feb, 4 and a bomb attack on Feb. 27. No one was hurt in both attacks but the first floor of the office was scorched in the last one caused by a powerful blast.

On March 4, the National Police reportedly solved both crimes. Five suspects in attacks were apprehended while their mastermind – a foreign citizen – was put on the wanted list.
