UN peacekeepers’ deployment, release of Ukrainian hostages, - Poroshenko elaborates on latest talks with Putin

Deployment of the UN peacekeeping mission in the occupied Donbas and release of Ukrainian hostages held in the occupied territories and Russian Federation were the subjects of the telephone conversation between Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko and President Vladimir Putin of Russia.

As reported by Censor.NET citing 112 Ukraine TV channel, Poroshenko said at the presentation of projects of the memorial to the Heroes of Heavenly Hundred in Kyiv.

"The subject to the talks consisted of two basic parts: the first one was about what was voiced exactly three years ago in early 2015 when Minsk-2 was being signed – that we desperately need peacekeepers... The second point is that we should never, under any circumstances, cease efforts to liberate our hostages," Poroshenko said.
