No bilateral meetings between Ukraine, Russia presidents held since 2014, - Poroshenko's press office on Peskov’s statement

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has held not a single meeting with President Vladimir Putin of Russia since the agreement to settle the armed conflict in Ukraine’s east was concluded in Belarus capital city, Minsk, back in 2014.

The presidential press office told Interfax-UkraineCensor.NET reports.

"The president of Ukraine held no bilateral meetings with the Russian president since the conclusion of the Minsk agreements," the press service told the news agency.

Earlier, spokesperson for the Russian president Dmitry Peskov claimed contacts between the heads of the states. "Such meetings do take place but we do not make them public," he told journalists of the Russian propaganda TV channel.

As reported, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Russian President Vladimir Putin, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande held talks in Minsk in February 2015 which resulted in signing of a set of measures to implement previously reached cease-fire deal. The last bilateral meeting between Poroshenko and Putin took place in 2014.
