FBI agents work in NABU on rotational basis, take no part in probes, SAP’s Kholodnytskyi says

Chief of the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) Nazar Kholodnytskyi says the agents of the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation are working in the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) on the rotational basis but they are not involved in the investigations carried out by the agency.

"The FBI acts in Ukraine under the Memorandum of Understanding," he said, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

The law enforcer noted that the information on the FBI-NABU joint operations was untrue: "The FBI agents work in the NABU on the rotational basis. Their assistance includes providing consultations, exchanging experience and intelligence, possible pedaling of certain international tasks. However, the FBI members are not involved in investigations, the FBI agents have no membership in the investigative teams, the FBI agents do not rocket through Kyiv streets waving guns around and catching people."
