 Saakashvili charged on three counts, put on wanted list, - PGO

Rukh Novykh Syl party leader Mikheil Saakashvili is on a lookout after being charged on three counts.

Larysa Sarhan, a spokesperson for Prosecutor General Yuri Lutsenko, wrote on TwitterCensor.NET reports.

“Sahakashvili was put on a national wanted list on charges of committing crimes under part 1 of article 15 (attempted crime), part 2 of article 28 (committing a crime by a group of persons, by a group of persons by prior agreement, or by a crime ring), part 2 of article 256 (aiding to crime ring members and concealment of their criminal activities) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The operational units of the National Police and the Security Service were charged to carry out search and detention operation," Sarhan said.

Early Dec. 5, the law enforcers detained Saakashvili on charges of assisting crime ring members. His supporters blocked off the paddy wagon with the detained politician inside and later released him. During the search in Saakashvili's apartment, he went up to the roof of the house and was apprehended by the law enforcers there. 

Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yurii Lutsenko later said that runaway oligarch Serhii Kurchenko funded Saakashvili's activities in Ukraine.
