No battle casualties in Ukrainian Army in past day, enemy committed 24 attacks in Donbas, - ATO HQ

The situation in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone is under control of the Ukrainian troops despite the Russian-terrorist forces’ attacks with weapons banned by the Minsk agreements.

Censor.NET reports citing the update by the ATO headquarters press center as of Dec. 5.

“In Luhansk direction, the invaders shelled the Ukrainian troops’ positions near Luhanske, Zaitseve, and Novoluhanske with mortars of various calibers. The enemy provided harassing fire on the defenders of Krymske and Novotoshkivske with grenade launchers and small arms.

“In Donetsk direction, the militants several times shelled defenders of Vodiane with mortars and grenade launchers. Positions on the outskirts of Starohnativka were fired upon with small arms. In the vicinity of Avdiivka, the Russian mercenaries violated the truce using mortars and grenade launchers. The enemy employed weapons of infantry fighting vehicles and rocket launchers against Ukrainian troops deployed near Bohdanivka.

"A total of 24 cease-fire violations committed by the invaders were recorded over the past 24-hour period. As appropriate, the Ukrainian servicemen suppressed the aggressor’s attacks. No Ukrainian defender was killed or injured in action," the situation report reads.

Earlier, the Russian mercenaries fired upon the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ positions 21 times on Dec. 4.
