This was announced by Batkivschyna deputy Hennadii Moskal on his Facebook page.
So who is Serhii Zaitsev, a key prosecution witness in the case of murder of deputy Yevhen Shcherban? I was present at a public questioning of Mr. Serhii Zaytsev held in the Kyiv Court of Appeals and could not believe my eyes and ears ... His biography is full of misdeeds - there is no empty space there," said the deputy.
According to Moskal, in March-April 2012 everal cases of misappropriation, embezzlement, abuse of office, forgery were instigated against Serhii Zaytsev. Thus, as a result of illegal actions Zaitsev the damages amounted to 2 million hryvnia.
"There were five criminal cases. To avoid criminal responsibility for crimes committed in May 2012, Zaytsev with the help of his relative Kirichenko offered his services to the General Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine concerning evidence against Tymoshenko," said Moskal.
According to the deputy, after questioning Zaytsev in May 2012, Nikopol Interdistrict Prosecutor's Office, at the direction of the PGO, has not conducted investigations against Zaytsev.
"In addition it is known that in 1999, Zaytsev was arrested or detained by law enforcement agencies in Poland on suspicion of murder. But he was released under unclear reasons. A source in Dnipropetrovsk prosecution says that Zaytsev is a "very bad man". To avoid jail he is ready to testify against anyone the prosecutors ask. Given the above, I prepared an appeal to deputy Serhii Vlasenko for the use of these materials in the defense of Yulia Tymoshenko," said the deputy.
