This was stated by chairman of the Batkivschyna Political Council Oleksandr Turchynov, who was also not allowed into the court, reports the party press service.
According to him, yesterday, the General Prosecutor's Office and the Office of the President "began to turn trial Shcherban into madness. The main witness in the case of the Prosecutor General's Office turned out to be sprinkled with mothballs paid snitch of the GPO. In his lies he was referring to the dead, who can neither deny nor confirm this verbal nonsense," said Turchynov. He added that "today's this madness was enforced with the court decision not to allow the deputies." Oleksandr Turchynov noted that, under the disgraceful decision not a single MP was allowed in the room, even those who were not in court yesterday."
"It's like removing people based on whether they are workers or peasants," he protested, adding that "the regime of Yanukovych shows contempt for the Constitution and the laws." The politician added that he was trying to get into the courtroom, presenting Ukrainian passport, "as a private citizen." However, according to him, the protection of the court stated that "the citizens of Ukraine were also not allowed". "The people who call themselves judges bullied not only common sense - they are treading water on the Constitution and the law," said Oleksandr Turchynov. He noted that the exclusion of deputies and citizens in today's session of the court, without any explanation, "is another testament to the fact that the dirty show initiated by the Administration of the President completely failed."
Turchynov noted that "this judicial farce against the leader of the opposition which occurs on the eve of the EU-Ukraine Summit threatens the country with international isolation."
The court is entirely surrounded by Berkut police special forces.
