Opposition Will Nominate a Single Candidate for Kyiv Mayor Elections

Opposition forces Batkivschyna, Udar and Svoboda will nominate a single candidate for the mayoral election in Kiev.

In an interview with Kommersant Batkivschyna leader Arseniy Yatsenyuk stated that the Council of the opposition was created for several purposes: to develop and agree on a common political position, introducing bills.

"Third is the joint participation in the elections. First of all local elections starting from Kyiv," said Yatsenyuk.

Replying to a question on whether Batkivschyna, Udar and Svoboda will have a single candidate in Kyiv, he said: "Absolutely right. Indeed, this formula has shown success."
