Azarov to Ukrainians: Instead of Whining Take a Shovel and Clear a Path

Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov gave a lecture to students of Bohomolets National Medical University where he urged people not to complain but to take a shovel and clear their porches.

UNN reports that the Prime Minister said that while the country is covered with snow, the government's efforts are aimed primarily on providing the livelihood of the country, clearing highways, railways, roads, streets and not the entrances to the houses.

Azarov noted that the territory of the entrances to shall be cleared by the residents of the houses.

"We have 40 centimeters of snow. It is a two-month amount. Can it be cleared in one day? Of course not! How much equipment and people would we need to clear that much snow out of the city in one day? So our people should realize that instead of whining they need to take a shovel, go clear a path, ask the neighbor to move his car so it does not block the way. Somewhere it is done, and somewhere they did not do it in time and as a result, in some courtyards the frost hit and snow fell which was not cleared and caused problems with our entrances. Can we clear up together? This is how it should be," he stressed.
