 Local authorities demand Yanukovych to abandon Reform of Technical Inventory Bureau: Real estate market will be destabilized

Head of Kyiv State Administration Oleksandr Popov wrote a letter to President Viktor Yanukovych.

According to Censor.NET, on Oct. 17, 2012 at the meeting of the economic reforms of the legislative body of city council a decision has been made to address the president on the account of TIB reform.

In the letter, the president is asked to prevent the destabilization of real estate market, increase of social tensions, the deterioration of the investment climate, reduction of government revenues and limiting of the constitutional rights of property owners.

"In this regard we ask you to provide the appropriate instructions on analyzing the readiness of the state registration of rights system which should carry out state registration of real estate rights starting Jan. 1, 2013," the letter to the president says.

In case the system of state registration is not ready in the manner determined by law, by Jan. 1, 2013, the city council asks Yanukovych to support the initiative to amend the relevant law and a number of laws and regulations, and to extend the powers of local authorities to register real estate property rights until Jan. 1, 2014.
